Our Accredited Partner Programme is designed to recognise those accounting firms we regard as experts in the agricultural sector. They have demonstrated outstanding knowledge of Cashmanager RURAL, and can help add value to your farming business. In this blog we profile Canterbury practice, Alexanders.
Agri-specialist accountancy practice Alexanders is based in Canterbury, but their client base is spread around the country, and the majority are farmers.
Director Alister Stevenson says Alexanders has been in business for more than 40 years and is best known for specialising in agriculture – up to 80% of their clients are farmers or farming associated businesses.
“A strength of our practice is that we have, in our entire team, a huge knowledge base whether you require support and guidance in a major accounting project or just some advice on whether Cashmanager RURAL is right for your farming business. We can cover all of this and more”.
Alister says the majority of their clients are now using a computer-based programme for compliance, GST and budgeting requirements. “Of those clients, 80%-85% would be on Cashmanager RURAL. Most of the clients do their own monthly reporting and budgeting and they need a programme that’s easy to follow and is right for them,” he says.
“We think the online version (of Cashmanager) is of great benefit because of the ability to get reports when we need them, to fix things immediately that our clients need assistance with, and being able to drop their information directly into our general ledger accounting package.”
The decision to become a Cashmanager RURAL accredited partner was simple.
“It gives confidence to clients and our team around their knowledge of the Cashmanager RURAL software. This creates an ease with clients when introducing them to the programme, or helping solve issues they may be having while processing their data.”
Alister believes it also gives the team here a level of confidence that their knowledge is recognised and helpful, and in gaining accreditation they know they have the resources available to deal with any Cashmanager RURAL problem.
