The first surprise came when we set it up on a small farm where there is an absentee owner, farm manager, farm advisor and accountant all reliant on the financial data. The owner does the raw actual data entry which she now has checked by the farm manager for coding accuracy and then we can check the GST treatment every two months. A couple of emails and the integrity of the data is never compromised. The budget creation and edit is the domain of the farm advisor and farm manager. The farm manager has appreciated the up skilling he is getting and also the better quality of data produced which is used for decision making. The farm owner or any one of the advisory team can access the data from anywhere in the world where they have access to a computer.

I also have a winery client that, like many, has trouble managing the cellar inventory and export sales where payment often takes months. The owners needed much better Cashflow forecasting but everything was in different systems and I struggled to help them. Now with Cashmanager RURAL ONLINE and its Debtors system I have inventory under control and have a Cashflow forecast that I revise monthly. For me it's so easy and very rewarding while the administration team are more efficient and enjoying not spending as long on the monthly tasks.

Another client is a first time cashbook user so I have been able to talk her through the administration process and particularly the one off tricky entries while watching what the end result has been on the screen. We are all looking at the same data and the access to different areas can be limited depending on circumstance. There is faith in the data and any data entered only has to be done once so all users access the common data. Assisting people is easier and more efficient. Win win all around.
