Our Accredited Partner Programme is designed to recognise those accounting firms we regard as experts in the agricultural sector. They have demonstrated outstanding knowledge of Cashmanager RURAL, and can help add value to your farming business. In this blog we profile Gisborne firm, Graham & Dobson.
Graham & Dobson have been providing accountancy services to businesses and the people of the Gisborne, East Coast and Wairoa districts for over 100 years – since 1906 to be precise.
Being a provincial city, the focus is very much on clients on the land. Our firm has people with the expertise to advise a diverse range of farming businesses including sheep and beef, annual cropping, vegetable growing (we are the green vegetable bowl of New Zealand), kiwifruit, apples, citrus, persimmons, vineyards and a number of other businesses on the land.
As well, we provide accountancy services to the businesses that service the primary sector and the people in the district. Over the decades we have grown into the second largest accountancy practice in Gisborne and currently have about 30 employees.
The longevity of our practice has come from adopting and adapting to change, so we can continue to meet the needs of our clients. In this day and age that includes supporting accounting software, like Cashmanager RURAL, which is used by a good number of our clients.
Cashmanager RURAL is a program specifically targeted at the primary sector. It has developed over the years and continues to develop into a comprehensive package that offers farmers a lot and is easy to use.
We particularly like our ability to log on to the cloud version and get information on a client’s business finances at any point. As well, it enables us to assist clients with accounting and analysing data queries easily.
Graham & Dobson became accredited as we need to know how Cashmanager RURAL works, to know its features to best support our clients, and also to compare it with competing products.
We want to be able to support our clients with IT accounting advice at a high level.
