Established in Timaru in the early 1900s, Martin Wakefield is an accounting practice that has grown from those early days to now have offices in both Timaru and Christchurch.

At Martin Wakefield we provide a full suite of rural accounting, general accounting, auditingbody corporate services, financial planning services, business advice, taxation, and succession planning services to a large client base that extends throughout Canterbury, and includes clients as far afield as Kaikoura, Westland and Otago.

We are part of NZ CA, an association of independent chartered accountancy practices with members located throughout New Zealand. Its mission is to help its member firms improve their business delivery to their valued clients. Current directors Hamish Moorhead and Mark McMullan are both involved in the primary sector, each living on farms on the outskirts of Timaru.

Features like Bank feeds, Trader statements and Scan My Bills reduce the amount of time spent stuck in the office and produce more accurate and detailed information with ease, enabling our clients to spend more time on the farm and family. Scan My Bills also gives easy access to the source document for a transaction, saving time and the need for customers to hunt out documents and send them to us at year end.

It is hands down our first choice farm accounting software, so becoming accredited was the logical step to take.
