Would you like to take time out – two days just for you to discover how to use your skills and experience in new directions?
If so, then the Agri-Women’s Development Trust (AWDT) First Steps course is for you. Cashmanager RURAL is proud to support the AWDT in the great work it does upskilling women and adding value in the rural sector.
The First Steps programme gave Winton farmer, wife and mother of three, Emma Hammond, newfound confidence to take on representation roles in both Fonterra and the education sector.
“First Steps gave me clarity around my skills and areas of interest. It also gave me the confidence to focus on what I enjoyed and was important to me, rather than trying to do bits of everything,” she says.
“Being taken through a process to identify areas of real interest and motivation and seeing that on a piece of paper confirmed to me what I was good at.”
Four new programmes in Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa, Feilding and Te Kuiti are now open for registration. The programmes are strictly limited to 14 places, so get in quick.
